As you are aware, Microsoft ceased support for the Windows XP Operating System on April 8, 2014.
This notification is to advise you of CloudRecover’s end of support for Windows XP systems with LiveVault, effective immediately.
What this means:
- As of June 18, 2014, CloudRecover will provide “best efforts” only support for Windows XP based systems backing-up / restoring to/from the CloudRecover LiveVault service.
- CloudRecover will no longer offer LiveVault software upgrades for Windows XP Operating Systems.
- CloudRecover will not block connections from Windows XP machines at this time, however reserves the right to do so in the future.
- Your continued use of Windows XP machines with the LiveVault service is at your own risk, knowing that CloudRecover no longer supports it.
Alternative solution:
If you are unable to upgrade your Windows XP machine to a supported platform, however wish to continue backing-up the data from it in a supported way, CloudRecover recommends the use of CloudRecover Connected Backup or the CloudRecover LiveVault CIFS Collector Agent.
