CloudRecover LiveVault enables customers to meet strict compliance requirements, such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001 and HIPAA audits. In order to maintain these we notified you on February 12 of an upcoming mandatory agent upgrade. This is now being deployed and you are encouraged to apply it at your earliest convenience.
NOTE: If your Server is running Windows Server 2012 R2, then additional steps are required when upgrading. Please read the knowledgebase article located here before upgrading: http://support.cloudrecover.com.au/entries/67120464
Below are the details of the agent versions you must upgrade to before June 12, 2015:
Agent / Protected Servers:
7.76 build 12477 Windows 32 and 64 bit.
7.76 build 12475 Linux 64 bit
7.76 build 12476 Linux 32 bit
7.76 build 12440 VM Collector
Vaults, Turbo Restore Appliance, Media Restore Server:
7.76 build 12440
These LiveVault upgrades are mandatory and must be completed no later than June 12, 2015.
What LiveVault components do I need to upgrade to this hotfix?
All Windows and Linux agents as well as Vaults, TRAs (TurboRestore Appliances) and Collector agents (CIFS and VMware) need upgrading.
What does this hotfix do?
This update enables the TLS communication protocol so that agents and TRAs can connect to the LiveVault service using it. In a future update, the previous protocol (SSL3) will be disabled, and therefore upgrading to this hotfix is mandatory in order to enable future access to the HP LiveVault service.
Will I need to make any firewall changes as a result of this update?
No.
The resolution plan:
1. All servers protected with LiveVault will need to be updated to this no later than June 12, 2015.
2. In July, 2015, the HP LiveVault service will reject any SSL3 connections. After that time, agents, TRAs and Vaults not upgraded will stop working and will require manual upgrades.
Note: HP requires ALL customers to upgrade their servers as of this notification, to ensure continuous service without disruption.
What do I need to do?
Schedule the upgrade on all servers as soon as possible when the update becomes available.
Note: A Server Status Report from the LiveVault web portal will show the current release running on all servers.
Additional Information:
As communicated in previous notifications, ALL XP devices including TRAs and MRSs are no longer supported and will cease to work once the agent is upgraded or when SSL is disabled in June 2015.
Please contact the support team for options on upgrading or purchasing replacements for your XP devices. HP announced end of support for Windows XP devices on June 18, 2014.
