The CloudRecover team is pleased to announce the July 27, 2015 General Availability of LiveVault 7.80.
This release includes the following features and enhancements:
VMware vSphere 6.0 Support
The Virtual Machine Collector Agent has been updated to use VMware’s VDDK 6.0 and to support vSphere 6. This also enables support for installing the LiveVault Virtual Machine Collector Agent on a Windows 2012 R2 machine.
Web Management Portal Enhancements
The LiveVault Web Management Portal has been updated to include support for the following browsers:
- Mozilla Firefox 34 or later
- Google Chrome 39.0 or later
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 or later (no longer need to set compatibility mode for IE 11)
In addition, the web portal also includes enhancements to the Server Templates feature for better usability and enabling customers to add existing machines to a template.
2-node clusters on Windows 2012 and Windows 2012 R2
The LiveVault agent now supports the backup of 2-node clusters running Windows 2012 & 2012 R2
Enhanced Security
- The LiveVault software and service have been enhanced, disabling SSL3 communications and enabling TLS.
- OpenSSL modules in all LiveVault components have also been updated to version 1.0.1o
Japanese Translation
All Japanese language LiveVault interfaces, software, help systems and official documentation have been updated in this release.
Quality Fixes
A number of defects and quality fixes have been implemented, please refer to the release notes here.
How do I upgrade?
Login to the LiveVault web portal (https://cloudrecover.onlinebackup.com), select one of your servers and navigate to the Updates tab. From there you can approve the update and schedule when you would like it pushed automatically to the server.
