HP CloudRecover is committed to providing secure data protection with LiveVault. As you may be aware, this week a major vulnerability within OpenSSL that can be exploited to retrieve information from memory was discovered. HP CloudRecover, like many others, acted immediately to verify if the LiveVault service would be impacted by this.
We are pleased to inform you that the LiveVault service is not vulnerable to this.
While LiveVault does use OpenSSL, it does not use the versions that contain this flaw. Impacted versions are only OpenSSL 1.01 through 1.01f (inclusive), which are not used by the LiveVault service.
