Move VM Explorer and maintain the configuration without keeping the backup history for local backups
- Check if there are any unfinished tasks still running in the old VM Explorer. If so, wait that all tasks are finished or manually stop them.
- Install VM Explorer on the new computer.
- Stop the "Trilead VM Explorer Service" in both computers.
- Copy the following folder to the new computer (exact same path structure): C:\ProgramData\Trilead\VMX\DB
- Start the service "Trilead VM Explorer Service" in both computers.
- On the old computer, export the VMX config file (Admin -> Settings -> Export / Imort config file).
- Copy the VMX.conf file to the new computer.
- On the new computer, import the VMX config file (Admin -> Settings -> Export / Imort config file).
- In the old installation, disable the scheduler of VM Explorer in order to avoid overlapping of tasks between the two installations.
- Remove the license from the old computer (Settings -> License Manager -> Remove)
- Add the license to the new computer (Settings -> License Manager -> Activate)

Hints:
- Please prepare and test your new VM Explorer configuration, before deleting the old one.
- Be careful to not have two VM Explorers running at the same moment as this could create a problem like overlapping backups.
